Anticancer drugs like 6-mercaptopurine and 13-cis-retinoic acid are integral components of the treatment regimen in ALL and neuroblastoma respectively for pediatric patients. But both the drugs are available either in tablet or capsule form, which makes their accurate dosing in children challenging. Moreover, dose optimization of these anticancer drugs, to achieve adequate drug levels in systemic circulation is also critical to minimize the toxicity and to ensure durable disease remission. Hence, we are developing powders for oral suspension for these anticancer drugs, which will be used for pediatric cancer patients, in collaboration with our industry partner.
