Bhudeb Chandra Basu
Bhudeb Chandra Basu obtained his DSc(1935) from University of kolkata. His specialization was Entomology. His research was on human and avian malaria, human filariasis, rat bite fever, fowl cholera, anthrax, surra. His significant contribution was in the areas of transmission, parasitology, treatment, prophylactics, disease and insect control. He was Entomologist, Bengal Public Health Department, School of Tropical Medicine, Kolkata, Research officer, Indian Veterinary Research Institute, President (1950), Indian Science Congress.

Kameshwar Sahai Bhargava
Kamaleshwar Sahai Bhargava obtained his PhD(1948) from University of London, UK. He specialized in areas of mycology, pathology and virology. He studied the virus diseases of temperate fruits, cucurbits and sugarcane. He worked on the ecology and natural spread of the casual viruses and their relationship with insect vectors. He studied the antiviral activity of certain ferns. He was the President, Indian Phytopathological Society, Indian Virological Society. He was the recipient of Panchanan Maheshwari Medal (1981), Mundkur Lecture award, Indian Phytopathological Society.
