Mahadeo Atmaram Moghe Mahadeo Atmaram Moghe

Mahadeo Atmaram Moghe obtained his Ph.D. from the University of London, UK, in 1937. His specialization was Embryology. His main contribution was the research on taxonomy of helminth parasites, specially cestodes from vertebrates. He carried out a survey of the incidence of helminth infection in cattle, goats, and sheep. His other research areas were cytochemistry, histology, development of the mammalian placenta, chromosomes, and spermatogenesis in homopterous and heteropterous insects. At National Environmental Engineering Research Institute, Dr. Moghe initiated and developed studies on biological aspects of problems with the sewage water. Dr. Moghe was the President of Zoology and Entomology Section of the Indian Science Congress in 1947.

Suhrit Chandra Mitra Suhrit Chandra Mitra

Suhrit Chandra Mitra secured his DPhil from the University of Leipzig, Germany, in 1924. He was specialized in experimental Psychology. He made extensive studies on the topics such as the theory of emotion, psychology and unemployment, the concept of instinct and experiments on Fechner's paradox. Dr. Mitra was a member, Deutsche Philispphisce Gesselschaft: Secretary, Indian Psychological Association and International Psychoanalytical Society. He was the President of Psychology Section, Indian Philosophical Congress in 1934 and Indian Science Congress in 1935.
