Sankaran Subramanian Sankaran Subramanian

Sankaran Subramanian obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Leicester in 1966. His research interests were electron spin, imaging, and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. He worked on the structure of short-lived free radicals and transition metal complexes using EPR and quantum mechanical calculations. He was involved in establishing the first regional sophisticated instrumentation center at IIT Madras. Dr. Subramanian was the recipient of the first silver medal in instrumentation from the International ESR Society in 2001.

Sunil Kumar Podder Sunil Kumar Podder

Sunil Kumar Podder is known for his biophysical studies on Ligand. He has studied protein-carbohydrate interaction in a model membrane system. He has made a significant contribution to the chemical specificity of the recognition processes in biological systems. He is a life member of the Indian Biophysical Society. Dr. Podder was awarded Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award for Science and Technology in 1982.
