Dorairajan Balasubramanian Alok Bhattacharya

Alok Bhattacharya earned his Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University in 1976. His research area includes parasitology, computation biology, and bioinformatics. He extensively worked in the areas of molecular and genomic studies on the protozoan parasite, entamoeba histolytica, the causative agent of amoebiasis. Dr. Bhattacharya was the recipient of the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award in 1994. He is an elected fellow of the Indian National Science Academy and the Indian Academy of Sciences; and J.C. Bose National Fellow.

Ranjit Kumar Banerjee Raghuram Varadarajan

Raghuram Varadarajan obtained his Ph.D. from Stanford University. He developed a new crystallographic and Nuclear Magnetic resonance hydrogen exchange protocol for the characterization of disordered states of proteins. His team developed several immunogens which demonstrated positive effects as HIV-1 vaccines. Dr. Varadarajan was elected by the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bengaluru. He received the AIDS-Innovation Grant Award by NIH, USA, in 1999 and the SS Bhatnagar award in 2002.
