I joined Dr Amit Dutt's Integrated Cancer Genomic Laboratory as a PhD student in 2015. I have pursued ME (Biotechnology) from BITS Pilani University and BE (Biotechnology) from University of Mumbai.

In Dutt laboratory, I am working on understanding the mechanisms by which lung cancer cells acquire resistance towards targeted therapies. Resistance to targeted therapies is an inevitable problem in lung cancer management. We will be applying genomic approaches to identify molecular players of resistance. Also, using next generation sequencing technologies, we are interested in describing the genomic profile of Indian lung cancer patients. It is well known that there are ethnicity specific cancer related genomic alterations. Hence, the outcome of such a profiling will enable better understanding of Indian lung cancer.
