I have completed my Masters in Bioinformatics and applied Biotechnology from IBAB (2016-2018 batch). My dissertation project entitled “Comprehensive Gene Expression Profiling to Study the Acquired Drug Resistance Mechanism”, aimed to study the acquired drug resistance, using the integrative technique of molecular Biology and Computational Biology. I joined Dr. Amit Dutt laboratory (Integrated Cancer Genomics Lab) at ACTREC as a Trainee in Nov 2018. I am currently working as a Research Fellow to get more familiarized with analysis and interpretation of data in a research lab, which includes transcriptome and variant analysis of samples from NGS (Next Generation Sequencing). Furthermore, I am working with Dr. Pratik Chandrani, a postdoc, on the clinical genomic data analysis software which will have potential to widen the application of personalized medicine from restricted cancer patients to majority of the cohort.
