I completed my BSc and MSc degrees in the field of Biotechnology from Ruia College (University of Mumbai) and Goa University, respectively. I earned my PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), where I examined Salmonella infection outcomes in the context of host predisposition to autoimmunity. Following my PhD, I worked in academic editing for Editage at CACTUS, before returning to the bench as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Dr. Sunil Shetty's lab at ACTREC. Here, I aim to expand my forte into cancer research, with a focus on identifying key markers involved in hepatocellular carcinoma initiation and progression. Apart from science, I have always been fond of dancing. In my spare time, I enjoy watching movies and webseries, and occasionally, reading novels.
